Creating Global Pathways to the Heart of Innovation

Silicon Valley Startup Entrepreneurs began with a vision to provide startup founders access to educational resources and essential information that every first-time founder should know or be exposed to. This includes access to high-caliber angels, VCs, and “been there, done that” successful, serial entrepreneurs. The goal was to create a space where founders could not only learn, but also build meaningful connections that could support them throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

The Silicon Valley ecosystem is unique, and that’s why we created new Meetup groups under the umbrella of Access Silicon Valley that extend beyond the geographical borders of Silicon Valley. In fact, it’s much more than just a Meetup group…it’s the opportunity to become part of the Silicon Valley ecosystem or “mindshare,” as we like to think of it.

Access Silicon Valley is the “virtual bridge” to Silicon Valley, where startup entrepreneurs and serial entrepreneurs get access to relevant content and have the opportunity to interact with angels, VCs and great entrepreneurs that they otherwise wouldn’t get the opportunity to see, hear or connect with. In addition, we have put together valuable workshops to prepare startup entrepreneurs for the roller coaster ride of the startup world! We encourage you to join us.

Roger Rappaport

About the Founder:
Roger Rappoport

I’m the founder of Access Silicon Valley and a corporate attorney with more than two decades of experience working with startup founders. My work centers on collaborating with emerging growth companies and first-time or repeat founders to build, finance, scale, and ultimately exit their startups. I combine legal strategy with hard-earned, real-world experience – because the startup journey is as much about navigating volatility as it is about getting the law right.

A core part of my practice is helping founders develop smart funding strategies and make the right introductions at the right time. Most of my clients ride the familiar cycle of no money → some money → no money again → more money again → exit. That rhythm demands thoughtful matchmaking, connecting entrepreneurs with the angels, angel groups, and venture capitalists who are best aligned with their stage, market, and technology.

Before I practiced law, I spent a decade as an entrepreneur. That experience shaped my philosophy: founders don’t need lectures about what they can’t do; they need clear options and practical paths to accomplish what they want to do. That principle guides my counsel and my approach to every client relationship.

Access Silicon Valley was born from that same conviction. It exists to give entrepreneurs access to the investors, mentors, expertise, insights, and community I wish I’d had when building my own company. If we can help a founder avoid avoidable mistakes, seize more opportunities, and improve the odds of a successful outcome, then we’re doing our job. At its core, ASV is about education and opening doors, because when entrepreneurs have the right guidance and community at the right time, they build better companies and achieve the exits they’ve earned.

About the Founder:
Roger Rappoport

My name is Roger Rappoport, founder of Access Silicon Valley, a sometime angel, and a practicing corporate attorney based in San Diego and Silicon Valley, focused almost exclusively on representing emerging growth companies, and helping first time and serial entrepreneurs develop and implement strategies to build, finance, grow and, ultimately, sell their startups. I always elicit a chuckle from clients, when I tell them that the advice I provide typically falls into one of three buckets: legal advice (40%), business advice (40%) and psycho-therapy (on the house) (20%)! (The time devoted to psychotherapy is invariably higher (significantly) and seems to track closely with, the presence of a diminished bank account, an impending payroll, and the closing date of a financing that appears to be slipping.)
